Neighbor and MS reader M-J sent me this picture of the Pratt Rat at yesterday’s union rally.

For more, go to http://pratttherat.com/. In short, LIUNA Local 79 is trying to unionize the process of building 524 Myrtle.

I may have video footage later.

The answer is yes, according to some of its workers… How long did it take to blow this thing up?

If you want wi-fi and coffee but don’t feel like enduring a scene, one good retreat for you may be Bidonville at 47 Willoughby. Bidonville means shantytown in French and the cafe’s interior manages to take you there with charming minimalism. The place is owned by a lovely hubby and wife team. On my last visit I nearly fell asleep on the back couch.
