Fort Greene dweller Common wasn’t on the scene at the time of the Hanson Place shooting this week but his publicist wanted to let you know that he almost got shot. Should the hundreds of people who walked past the crime scene issue press releases too? Of course not. They neither crave street cred nor have an album to sell!

At the new Trader Joe’s in Brooklyn Heights

Had an agreable grocery shopping session at the new Trader Joe’s on Court & Atlantic today. My only major disappointment is that they will not have a liquor license and that Brooklynites will still have to go to Manhattan for the 2 Buck Chuck.
